Thanksgiving is a great time to physically and mentally stop to think about the people who have been influential in your life and let people know how grateful you are for them. I would like to focus on one person, that even though I had a short time with him, his influence still affects me today.
I didn't have a long relationship with my now deceased grandfather, but for the short time that I had, he gave me great encouragement. He told me he loved me and that he was proud of me. Sometimes that is all someone needs. He didn't know much about me--I didn't know much about him, but the little time we did spend together, he shared life lessons with me. He gave me all the loving he could until he was gone. I won't forget him.
I love to wear things that tell my life story, so I found a simple, minimalist way to tell the story of my relationship with my grandfather.
I have bought multiple pieces from GLDN. I ordered this bracelet engraved with the date I first got in contact with my grandfather and the date he deceased. That is a time period I will always be grateful for. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with the ones you love the most!
